Being a Nurse on board one of our Cunard or P&O Cruises ships means far more than treating sea sickness and sunburn. Our ships are similar to a small town or city, so working as a nurse on one of our cruise ships is a one-of-a-kind experience. Our nurses are required to use their A&E or Critical Care experience to look after patients with all types of ailments, sicknesses, and health problems – from sun burn, broken bones, and family planning, to cardiac arrests.
This means that our nurses need to be ready for anything! Using our fully-equipped medical centre, you are there to ensure critical emergencies are dealt with promptly and swiftly, combining the challenges of remote medicine with a varied caseload and real autonomy.  Every day is different and every cruise offers a new experience.

To join us as a Ship Nurse, you must be a level 1 registered nurse with current registration with the United Kingdom Nursing and Midwifery Council or appropriate Governmental regulatory body, three years post qualification. We ask that you have a broad range of experience in acute care areas with proven proficiency in a wide variety of clinical skills, including care and assessment of acutely ill patients and management of minor injuries and medical conditions. We ask for recent experience within A&E, although we may consider relevant experience in Medical Admissions Unit or a Critical Care setting.

We are looking for people who are ambitious, passionate and dedicated to delivering a quality service, while ensuring that clear and professional boundaries are kept when forming appropriate and professional relationships with our Guests and Ship’s Company.

It takes great passion and real dedication to maintain our position at the top. That’s why people are at the heart of our journey delivering the highest standards to our valued customers. We provide support to help reach your potential with an extensive CPD programme and training opportunities, together with attractive company benefits and incredible employee offers on discounted cruises.
