We’re recruiting for Relief Responders and Advisors to join the Independent Living team at Community Gateway Association. The team…

The Independent Living team provides a 24 hour support line monitoring and home response service for their Community Alarms and Lifeline Customers. The main purpose of these roles is to deliver effective and efficient support services, assisting and supporting tenants and vulnerable residents to live independently in their own homes.  


The role…

In this role you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including attending emergency alarm calls, responding to customer queries, call-centre handling, managing out of hours repairs calls and processing, documenting and recording a range of data and information accurately across a range of systems. 

The successful candidates will be contacted when shifts become available, in line with the needs of our team based on 8/8.5 hour shifts across a 24hr, 7 days per week rota, covering day and night shifts.  


You will be required to demonstrate the following:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Call handling experience
  • Ability to use a range of IT systems and software
  • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships
  • Ability to work in line with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Understanding or experience of supporting people to live independently in their homes
  • A passionate commitment for the welfare and engagement of others
  • Excellent organisational skills

Candidates will undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and will need to possess a full driving licence to be considered for these positions.
