We currently have an exciting vacancy for a Pest Control Operative to join our busy Logistics team based within our Animal and Plant Team.

The Role: 
The Animal & Plant logistical Department provides a key service in supporting our world class animal collection. 
The duties are varied in this post and include undertaking all jobs, duties and tasks set out by the Assistant Team Manager (ATM) Pest control. Working on all pest control operations across the site. To include all treatments required in animal houses, public areas and food outlets.

As a Pest Control Operative you will: 

  • Work alongside the ATM, controlling the storage and buying of all pest control equipment, supplies and tools, ensuring enough is kept in stock for the week’s tasks. 
  • To complete all pest control paperwork alongside the ATM Pest Control. 
  • To carry out pest treatments and ensure they are carried out in line with the correct health and safety compliance
  • Complete the pest elements of the EHO inspections of all food outlets across site. 
  • Be the point of contact for all pest enquires across site when the ATM is not on site. 
  • Design and undertake pest proofing across site.  
  • Use skills and knowledge to advise on all pest issues across site. 

The ideal candidate will: 

  • ​​​​​​​Be qualified to BPCA Level 2 minimum.
  • Possess excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Be hard working, trustworthy, independent and with good organisational skills.
  • Hold a full, clean driving licence.
  • Have experience in customer relations

The Package

  • Fixed Term Contract to end of Dec 23.
