What are we looking for?

We are recruiting a Lead Procurement Pharmacy Technician to manage the Procurement and Purchasing service. This will include reviewing the day to day operational management of medicines procurement, managing prices and stock quantities and assisting with medicines procurement contracts.


​​​​​​​Your duties will include:​​​​​​​

With patient safety as our main priority, we have deployed cutting-edge technology and innovative processes to support a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week Pharmacy service.

We are operating a closed loop medicines management system including automated stock management to ensure timely and efficient supply of medicines to clinical areas.

The unique barcode medicines administration at the bedside and a fully integrated system for the electronic health records supports safe and effective prescribing, clinical screening and patient monitoring.

What we need from you:

To join us, you must be a GPhC registered Pharmacy Technician and have previously worked in a busy hospital dispensary.  You will have extensive experience of working in Pharmacy Procurement and will be able to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Vaccination as a condition of deployment VCOD
From the 1st April 2022 the updated Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014, which requires vaccination as a condition of deployment (VCOD), comes into effect. 

This includes front-line caregivers, as well as non-clinical caregivers not directly involved in patient care but who may have face to face contact with patients. This role is covered by these regulations and therefore you will be required to provide proof of your full vaccination status as part of your pre-employment checks prior to your start date.
