Town Name: Old Aberdeen

Are you looking for a rewarding, flexible job where you can make a difference?  We're on the lookout for flexible, caring and enthusiastic colleagues to join our amazing #TeamSunnybank in Aberdeen on a relief basis.

Our relief contracts really give you flexibility; you tell us when you're available and we'll look to give you shifts to fit in.

The Role

As a relief colleague, you'll play an incredibly important role within our team.  You'll help us to make sure that we continue to give the best care and support possible during times of colleague holidays, training and absence.

You'll become part of a friendly, dedicated, fun team who supports four gentlemen with profound learning and physical disabilities who live in their own shared home.  The great thing about this job is no two days are ever the same.

Your main aim will be supporting each gentleman with their day to day needs, including personal care, shopping, finances, cooking, housework and medication.

You'll also provide support with their hobbies and interests too, including music, films, in-house activities, going for walks and arts & crafts.   As all the gentlemen love to get out and be part of their local community, as restrictions ease, you’ll also find yourself getting involved in activities like going to the cinema, discos and day trips too.

About You

You don't need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and we'll give you all the training you'll need if you're successful.  We'll even put you through your SVQ qualification too!

All we’ll need you to bring is: -

  • A caring and compassionate attitude.
  • The ability to work well in a team.
  • Great communication and organisational skills.
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
  • A creative drive to improve the lives of the individuals you support.
  • Confidence in the use of technology.

Shift Patterns

As we're dedicated to providing around the clock support tailored to the needs of each individual, shift patterns include early mornings, days, evenings, sleepovers, waking nights, weekends and public holidays.
