Cygnet Hospital Sheffield offers low secure and locked rehabilitation services for women and CAMHS services for male and female adolescents over four distinct wards.
Within the adult services, women are supported through the care pathway from low secure to locked rehabilitation by a full multi-disciplinary team who are focused on helping service users regain independence, maintain family links and prepare for discharge. Both the low secure and locked rehabilitation service have a focus on community access, therapy and meaningful activity and both also offer warm and welcoming environments for the delivery of support and care.
Working as an active member of our dynamic MDT, you’ll provide support for our nursing staff including the admission, assessment, implementation and discharge of inpatients, with a focus on dignity and safety at all times. You’ll bring with you a sound level of literacy and numeracy skills and preferably an NVQ level 2 in a relevant care setting. With some experience working in a secure a psychiatry service you’ll have a good level of physical fitness and a strong, flexible mental aptitude in order to meet the demands of the role. Demonstrating the abilities, experience and skills needed to deal effectively with challenging situations, you have an active interest in developing your knowledge and skills.

We Offer a comprehensive 2 Week Induction and Training Package for all Health Care Support Workers and candidates based on our Adolescent ward receive an extra week of CAMHS specific training prior to starting.
