The role of a Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service volunteer can be varied and exciting.
The main aim of our volunteering opportunities is to raise awareness of and promote fire, road safety and health & well being messages to our diverse communities across Derbyshire.
Volunteering with us can be rewarding. It brings the opportunity to meet new people, undertake new challenges and experiences. It also provides the satisfaction that comes from making a real contribution to making Derbyshire safer for all communities.
Volunteers provide us with additional skills, local community knowledge and perspectives which enhance and complement the role of the Service in meeting the needs of our local communities and help build closer links with them.
We're seeking volunteers from diverse backgrounds, who are committed to being involved, have a passion to help make Derbyshire safer and want to make a positive contribution to the Service.
In return, successful applicants will receive:
- an induction and relevant training
- a uniform and an ID badge
- relevant support, resources and equipment to undertake the role
