This role is responsible for assisting in the recruitment of employees across the Group (including attracting talent through advertising, social media, referrals and any other means possible). The role requires a pro-active, driven individual who understands the importance of data protection and confidentiality, as you will have access to salary information and private personal data. You will assist line managers by leading interviews, writing candidate summaries, minimising recruitment fees, ensure all positions are advertised efficiently and completing all required adhoc administration duties that form part of the recruitment role.

This role is working Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 5.30pm and Friday 8.30am - 5pm. This role has flexiblity around working from home, a minimum of 2 days in our Cambridge office.

What you'll do:

  • Take the lead on all interviews within the business, 1st stage interview are held with the Internal recruiter then if shortlisted you will lead on 2nd stage interviews with the hiring managers.
  • You will take a proactive approach in assisting with all aspects of the recruitment process.
  • Focus on the improvement of the recruitment strategy and look for new tools to find staff
  • Discussing vacancies details with the hiring managers, setting expectations and ensuring you complete tasks agreed with the managers.
  • All roles must be advertised within 24 hours of receipt with 1st interviews booked within 10 working days
  • Once interviews are completed, ensure the recruitment spreadsheet is up dated and candidate summaries are created
  • Pro-active searches for candidates who have not applied directly for roles, specifically in the Estate Management team. Engage, inform and arrange interviews for the strongest people in the industry.
  • Minimise the costs of recruitment especially with regards to agency fees.
  • Ensure all interviews are booked in a meeting room, HR and Recruitment Officers diary, the appropriate Line Managers diary
  • All unsuccessful candidates are rejected within 5 working days of their interview
  • All successful are advised ASAP after interview to ensure none are lost to competitors
  • Keep a file of all interview and candidate notes to prove a fair process if ever challenged
  • Manage our ATS (Jobtrain) and ensure all candidates details are on there and up to date

   What you’ll bring to the team:

  • 1+ years recruitment experience utilising a range of recruitment methodologies
  • Excellent recruitment skills – interviewing, drafting Job Specifications, advertising and proactive approaches
  • Excellent time management, prioritisation, delegation and project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills – letter writing and the written and verbal presentation of information
  • Excellent people skills – an ability to adapt your style as required
  • Excellent commercial skills – demonstrate a savviness and awareness of commercial reality
