Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ITG Manager to join the Digital, Technology and Change directorate.
This key role will act the strategic lead for the information, data and technology vision, strategy, governance and service delivery.
The post holder will act as the key strategic advisor to the organisation, leading the identification, development, delivery and management of information, technology and data services to meet the strategic and operational needs of the Authority. In addition, they provide direction for and maintain oversight of the ITG team responsible for the management and delivery of Value for Money, best practice, strategically aligned secure and architected IT services. This will include IT supply governance to include management of the managed IT service supplier to assure performance against agreed service levels and contractual obligations, together with the management of additional IT contracts.
The role will also need to establish a new structured approach to managing and governing the organization's data assets to ensure data accuracy, consistency, completeness, and timeliness, which is crucial for reliable decision-making and business operations.
As a competent leader of people and processes, the role holder will be experienced in Business and IT Strategy development with clear evidence of designing and delivering IT services to support a range of business functions, extensive demonstrable experience of leading and informing IT programme design and delivery and a broad understanding and have managed previously the implementation of data governance frameworks in the public or private sector. With a commitment to diversity and inclusion, the role holder will also have experience in managing complex senior level stakeholder relationships the ability to articulate complex IT concepts to all levels.
Whilst this role is hybrid the successful candidate will be required to work from Lewes Headquarters for 2 days per week with flexibility to attend more regularly when needed for meetings and to maintain stakeholder engagement.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a standard DBS check prior to starting.

DBS and Non-Police Personnel Vetting
All roles at East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service will be subject to either DBS checks (minimum standard level) or a Police vetting process (the latter for roles based at Joint Headquarters in Lewes).
