Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint a dedicated and innovative Creative Therapist (Regional Clinician) who has the relevant skills and can demonstrate the knowledge and experience necessary to inspire good practice and develop services to enhance the experience provided to our young vulnerable individuals.

The role
- To provide regular, expert clinical guidance to the teams of staff who look after our children.
- To monitor and promote the development and maintenance of a positive, therapeutic environment and ethos within Esland Care & Education services, including training and developing staff to achieve this.
- To work within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice within the service.
- To provide therapeutic input to young people within Esland Care’s residential and education services and provide specialist expertise in the assessment and treatment of young people presenting with trauma and attachment-based difficulties.
- To carry out audit and research activities as required.
- To assist in the continued implementing of good practice as outlined by the Enabling Environments framework.
What we need from you
- Significant post qualification experience, and proven abilities, in working therapeutically with young people and their families or carers, and monitoring progress and outcomes.
- Demonstrates good knowledge, expertise and experience in assessment, intervention and risk management with developmental trauma and attachment difficulties.
- Proven ability to produce high quality, well-written clinical reports.
- Experience of working effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Due to the nature of this role, you must be 21+ to apply
- Hold a Full UK driving licence
- Your base will be your home but there will be an expectation to visit our care homes on a regional basis to support their staff, young people and fellow clinicians (Bedfordshire)
Requirements for an Enhanced DBS and reference checking will be undertaken in line with government regulations and safer recruitment best practice.
