We are looking for a Silo Operative to join the Frontier team, based at our Southampton site, on a permanent full-time basis.

We are looking for someone who is highly motivated and enjoys multitasking. This role requires a flexible approach to working hours during busy periods.

About You

  • IT literate with experience of using Microsoft office
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work at height, in confined spaces and happy to work inside and out in all weather conditions
  • Able to cope under pressure and work towards deadlines
  • Self-motivated, solution-focused, and effective team player

Your Role

As a Silo Operative your role will involve:

  • Assisting with general operative tasks to enable the safe storage, testing and export of grain and pulse commodities (i.e wheat, barley, oats & beans)
  • Ensuring good housekeeping and hygiene of the site/buildings is maintained and, within capability, non-technical general maintenance in and around site
  • Preparing and maintaining records and attending training, on & off site, to comply with site quality, health & safety rules and procedures
  • Operating machinery across the site including the ship loader
