Job Description
We are looking for an Agronomic Crop Advisor to join the Frontier group on a permanent, full-time basis. This role is fully homebased but will require travel to different Frontier sites across the UK as needed and is ideal for someone located in the North of England.
You will be helping to drive the development of Frontier’s consultancy team providing impartial agronomy information to farmers, independent crop consultants and buying groups.

About You
- Proven technical and commercial knowledge within the agricultural industry
- Proven knowledge of all aspects of crop production
- Experience in advising on soil health and biodiversity management of agricultural land
- BASIS and FACTS qualified
- Able to deliver crop production updates to grower groups throughout the season
Your Role
As an Agronomic Crop Advisor your role will involve:
- Developing the current Frontier member base focusing on existing farmer networks, incorporating independent advisors, key strategic farming accounts and buying groups, working in conjunction with Frontiers Commercial Crop Protection team on a national basis
- Reviewing our commercial charging structure for providing agronomic advice
- Incorporating Frontier’s Sustainable Crop Production offerings into an agronomic model
- Developing added-value offerings and identifying commercial opportunities from Frontier’s extensive product areas
- Organising on-farm meetings throughout the year for member groups and delivering updates in person as well as utilising Frontiers extension expertise network to support
- Leading on providing regular in-season technical bulletins for members within agreed time frames, supported by Frontiers Technical department
- Dissemination of Frontiers trial results both internally and externally
- Delivering key findings from in-house and external trials data to members at relevant times of the year
- Providing in-season summaries and updates on season crop development, providing a holistic overview to internal and external groups
- Supporting in developing and setting up farm trails addressing our technical and commercial agenda
- Working collaboratively with all departments of Frontier’s in-house Technical team
- Working closely with Frontiers Heads of Commercial and Regional Sales Leaders providing industry insights and feedback from the field
- Strong understanding of all departments delivering Frontier’s Sustainable Crop Production programme, supporting the delivery of key messaging
- Working closely with our Crop Protection Commercial Team and technical experts to develop industry-leading on-farm strategies
