We have an exciting opportunity to join our team based at Topcliffe, North Yorkshire as a Crop Inputs and Logistics Team Leader. The purpose of the role is to take on the day to day management of the onsite Lower Tier COMAH crop protection store and regional delivery requirements.  The role  is to ensure that the site provides and supplies products with market leading customer service to our customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, legal and compliant day-to-day crop protection operations, maintaining maximum efficiency without compromising safety or customer service levels.


Logistics experience is essential, as is the ability to build effective internal and external relationships and the ability to communicate at all levels. You will ensure an exceptional standard of customer service is achieved at all times and you will be pivotal in motivating and creating a positive team environment.


Duties will include:

  • Manage delivery of CP products on a daily basis utilising Transport Trip
  • Deliver CP orders to customer requirements, working closely and communicating with all members of the Northern team to meet standards in Northern CP SLA.
  • Manage delivery drivers with regard to urgent deliveries or routing expectations
  • Liaise with Northern CP Coordinator to ensure appropriate stocks are held at all times
  • Manage storekeeper to ensure adequate quantities of “in use” stocks are held at all times.
  • Ensure CP store is operated within all BASIS & COMAH requirements
  • Manage all day to day CP activity on site
  • Providing collection customers with a highly efficient and customer focussed service
  • Ensure all driving standards are achieved as set out by Fleet Services.
  • To deal with all incoming delivery enquiries from internal and external customers and ensure we meet and deliver on commitments made.
  • Assist the site manager in the review of HSE reports and documents
  • Responsible for the control and monitoring of vehicle utilisation, daily checks, driver hours and DVSA/ADR requirements for all site delivery vehicles and drivers
  • Supervisory role of all site delivery drivers, storekeepers and inputs admin staff.
  • Actively promote and embed HAS into all working practices and behaviours and lead by example
  • Work closely with Site Foreman to manage the site in the absence of the Site Manager.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Strong communication and IT skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
  • Ability to deliver  under pressure and to deadlines whilst maintaining Frontier values/customer service
  • Ability to adapt quickly to accommodate changing business and customer needs, while providing a responsive customer focussed service
  • Attention to detail providing high levels of accuracy
  • Full driving licence is essential
  • Experience of supervising and managing teams
  • Experience of delivering high levels of customer service in a fast paced environment
  • Knowledge of BASIS/COMAH/TASCC - desirable
