An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team in the South, ideally suited for a logistics expert who is ready to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will take ownership for delivery of our field based services for growers throughout the UK.  Delivering exceptional service and operational excellence will require a reactive and adaptable approach, close collaboration with stakeholder teams and pro-active field operator co-ordination.

The role – Key responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate and lead all logistical processing activities
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to improve operational performance
  • Organise, prioritise and monitor work flow and schedules for the field operations team
  • Supply weekly/monthly updates reports and statistics as required
  • Implement, monitor and record health and safety policies in liaison with the HAS co-ordinator
  • Lead, coach and support the two regional field operator team leaders
  • Understand and deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Communicate with our customers in relation to order requirements and delivery
  • Work collaboratively with all stakeholders

Ideal candidate

  • Logistics management experience essential
  • Experience of leading and motivating a team essential 
  • Knowledge of agricultural industry would be advantageous but not essential 
  • Ability to communicate at every level
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft office
  • Proven ability to demonstrate an agile approach to problem solving
  • Ability to work on own initiative, making decisions, managing own workload and time
  • Ability to develop effective and supportive relationships with colleagues and customers
  • Ability to develop effective and supportive relationships with colleagues and customers
