Our growing Civil Engineering Division is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our Highways team in the East of England. GRAHAM has been awarded two major packages on the CDF Framework, worth £19m, covering the A47, A11, A1 and A12. Our project offices are located in Peterborough and King’s Lynn.  Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this position requires an individual who has a proven track record in leading commercial teams on large construction schemes or several smaller construction projects. The ideal candidate will come from a main contracting background and will have had relevant civil engineering experience, ideally within Highways.

The Managing Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for detailed cost control and recovery of value on the project, either by themselves or by effective management of staff resources. The successful candidate will have experience in the administration of various forms of contract, an ability to report on the current cost, and profit and loss position of the project, and an ability to control and forecast cost. These skills along with effective and correct subcontractor management and maintaining an on-going client interface relationship are all key requirements of this role.
