JOB DESCRIPTION

Our growing Civil Engineering Division is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our growing Highways team in the East of England. GRAHAM has been awarded two major packages on the CDF Framework, worth £19m, covering the A47, A11, A1 and A12. Our project offices are located in Peterborough and King’s Lynn.

Reporting to the Framework Director day-day and the Civil Engineering Division QA Manager, the successful candidate will provide Quality Assurance support to the Site Management team, with the opportunity to grow with the Highways team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Implement the QA/QC management system at site.

  • Coordinate with quality inspections with all the site sub-contractors and vendors coordinate all non-destructive testing on site.

  • Coordinate with the client’s representative on all quality matters.

  • Distribute relevant QA/QC documentation to site subcontractors.

  • Verify that the quality related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards.

  • Participate in the site internal and external site audits.

  • Ensure all quality control documentation is complied and completed for as-built hand over to client.

  • Control all non-conformance reports and ensure remedial action is undertaken.

  • Monitor the implementation of the approved site QC Plan.

  • Coordinate and chair the QA/QC site weekly meetings with the projects subcontractors QC personnel.

 

Experience:

  • Essential

    • Demonstrable experience in a Quality Assurance Manager role.

    • Strong communication skills

  • Desirable

    • Construction related degree, although not essential.

    • Experience in the Construction Industry

    • Experience of establishment and implementation of electronic Quality Control / Defect Management Tools/ BIM Field Application.
