Our growing Civil Engineering Division is seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to join our Highways team in the East of England. GRAHAM has been awarded two major packages on the CDF Framework, worth £19m, covering the A47, A11, A1 and A12. Our project offices are located in Peterborough and King’s Lynn.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this position will be pivotal in providing quantity surveying support services to the Highway’s Team.

The Project Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for day to day QS duties, with prior NEC experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing the ongoing design process to ensure budget requirements are adhered to;

  • Valuation of value engineering options and design changes;

  • Producing quantities / schedules for procurement of sub-contract packages;

  • Preparation and issuing of sub-contract documentation to sub-contractors;

  • Re-measurement of sub-contract works for sub-contract valuations;

  • Reviewing and processing sub-contract payments;

  • Preparation of project interim valuations;

  • Preparation of monthly financial reports;

  • Attending meetings as required (with Designers, Sub-contractors and the Employers Team);

  • Preparation of contractual correspondence and notifications;

  • Liaising with site personnel to obtain site records and reconciling against works claimed;

  • Valuation of variations in line with the Contract Conditions;

  • Negotiating variations with Client’s commercial team
