As the GRAHAM business continues to grow and develop we are looking for an enthusiastic Quantity Surveyor to assist the Civil Engineering Team.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this position will be pivotal in providing quantity surveying support services to the Civils’ Team.
The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for day to day QS duties on a substantial design and build project.
We are offering several Returnship placements for qualified professionals to give them a kick-start back into their construction careers. These opportunities are targeted at both professional men and women who have been out of the workplace for 2 years or more. Like an internship, the placements run for three months and offer a fantastic opportunity to rebuild your skills, networks and experience on real projects.
We are offering opportunities within our Construction, Civils Engineering and Interior Fit-Out teams. Opportunities will be family friendly and are available across a breadth of roles including Site Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Estimating, Programming, Design and M&E.
Successful candidates will be developed, mentored and coached to enhance their existing skills with an aim to securing a permanent position at the end of the paid placement.
Over the three month placement you will hone your existing skills in the work place, receive training to build your confidence in returning to work, and complete projects and tasks that challenge you to build on your current skill set. The post holder will support the site management team to deliver key objectives for the A536 Congleton Link Road (CLR) to ensure comprehensive and inclusive stakeholder engagement for the project.
Reporting to the Stakeholder Communications Manager, this role will be project based with travel required between sites within the package area. Occasional requirements to work outside normal working hours to attend evening meetings or presentations as required.
