Job Description

Care Service Lead - North Lanarkshire

Salary: £29,000 to £33,000 depending on experience

Home Instead SUR Group is seeking a Service Lead to provide day-to-day leadership of care quality, team support and client experience within one of our local offices. This is a key operational leadership role for someone who understands high-quality care, can lead and develop people, and wants to play a central part in delivering safe, person-centred support across the community.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Service Lead will lead Team Leaders, Senior Care Professionals and Care Professionals, ensuring care plans, risk assessments, client reviews, quality assurance activity and local team standards are delivered consistently. The role will also support local growth through consultation delivery, community presence, referral relationships and strong client and family engagement.

This role would suit an experienced leader who is confident working in a regulated environment, comfortable making day-to-day decisions within clear boundaries, and motivated by developing others. It also provides a strong development pathway towards future General Manager or registered manager opportunities.

Key responsibilities include leading day-to-day care quality and compliance, supporting client consultations and care planning, developing and coaching the local care team, contributing to local referral and community activity, participating in the on-call rota, and escalating safeguarding, serious incidents or regulatory matters promptly through the correct channels.

Applicants should have substantial experience in domiciliary or home care, proven experience leading or supporting teams, strong care planning and risk assessment skills, excellent communication and organisational ability, and a full driving licence with access to a vehicle. An SVQ 3 or 4 in Social Services and Healthcare, or willingness to work towards it, is required.

Working pattern: Monday to Thursday, 8.30am to 5.00pm, and Friday, 8.30am to 2.30pm, with on-call participation in line with local arrangements.
