We are actively recruiting for an experienced Ground worker to join our team! The main purpose of the role is to provide a high quality and customer focused, responsive, cyclical, planned and void maintenance service within the organisation’s properties and for our external customers. As part of the role you will ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with Health & Safety regulations and the organisation’s operational procedures.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all maintenance repair works to our empty and tenanted properties are carried out to a high standard, achieving high levels of customer satisfaction and first time completion. You will also be tasked in ensuring all work undertaken is fully compliant with Health & Safety procedures and legislation so that properties are safe for our residents to live in and the major incident risk is reduced and to include a safe working environment to staff and customers.
You should possess ground worker, bricklaying and fencing knowledge and the competency to effectively coordinate a linked programme of works with the ability to plan each job ensuring the required materials are available to complete the works.
We are looking for a candiate who possess' time served or the relevant qualification in bricklaying, fencing, or wet trades and be asbestos awarness trained . You should have experience of installations, maintenance and repairs and be able to use handheld electronic devices. You should be able to communicate effectively with a positive approach to problem solving.
Candidates should be able to adapt and adopt a flexible approach to hours worked as you will be required to fulfil the duty rota as required. All applicants should hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for business use.
