Advanced Nurse Practitioner - Banbury

At IMH, providing patient care is at the heart of what we do, and we don’t want to stop there. We currently have an Advanced Nurse Practitioner role available at our Horsefair Surgery in Banbury, Oxfordshire. The details are:

  • Annual salary of up to £50,000
  • NHS Pension

  • 40 hours per week (days/hours flexible)
  • 30 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • Role available immediately

Practice Profile

  • Clinical skill mix consists of GP Partners, Practice Nurses, HCA’s, Pharmacy Technicians, Midwives, Community Nurses, Health Visitors and a Councillor.
  • 18,000 patients
  • Multisite practice
  • Opening hours Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 8am – 8pm, Tuesday, Friday 8am – 6.30pm. Closed for training Wednesday 12.30pm – 2pm
  • GMS Contract
  • We provide the following enhanced services cervical smears, child development and immunisation clinic, counselling clinic, family planning, varicose ulcer clinic, well-baby clinic, travel immunisations and smoking cessation.
  • EMIS Computer system in use
  • GP Training Practice
  • The Practice is part of the North Oxfordshire GP federation which may present future opportunities for collaborative working

Banbury boasts fantastic transport links including regular trains to Central London in under 1 hour.  

As one of our Advanced Nurse Practitioners you’ll have recent experience within a Primary Care setting, be adaptable, highly motivated and relish a challenge. You will be registered with the NMC, be an independent/supplementary nurse prescriber and hold an MSC/Post graduate diploma or equivalent. You will hold advanced assessment skills which include history taking, clinical examinations, diagnosis and initiating programmes of care.
