Practice Nurse Vacancy for West End Surgery

Our practices provide traditional GP and nurse-led services for both registered and non-registered patients. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the West End Surgery in Beeston, Nottingham as a Practice Nurse. The successful candidate will be responsible for attending to patients who wish to be seen in a primary care setting.

 

The duties will include:

  • Dietary advice
  • Blood pressure checks
  • Urinalysis
  • Health screening
  • Ear syringing
  • Dressings and wound care
  • ECG’s
  • Phlebotomy
  • Routine injections
  • Contraception advice and reviews
  • Routine immunisations and vaccinations
  • Baby Immunisations
  • Removal of sutures / clips
  • Assisting with minor procedures including fitting and removing IUS / IUCD
  • Spirometry
  • Cytology
  • Review of chronic diseases such as COPD, Asthma, Diabetes etc
  • Have a clear understanding of Quality and Outcomes Framework (QoF)
  • Maintaining a high level of Infection Control

 

 

 

 

The role details are:

  • Annual salary of up to £28,500
  • NHS Pension
  • 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
  • 27 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • Role available ASAP

West End Surgery is a small general practice located in the heart of Beeston with a list size of around 4000 patients. We are close to all the local amenities including the High Street.

  • There are 4 GP consulting rooms, a treatment room and a HCA room.
  • We offer enhanced services such as extended hours, community phlebotomy clinics, community midwife clinics, community diabetic nurse clinics and joint injection services
  • The Practice clinical team consists of 3 GP’s, a HCA and a Community Pharmacist
  • SystmOne clinical computer system

 


You’ll be a motivated team-player with a passion for healthcare. You will also be a qualified registered first level nurse and have previous experience of working in primary care (minimum 1 year). The successful candidate should be enthusiastic with good people and communication skills and able to work as part of the surgery team.
