About the role and our team
We are searching for a dynamic, motivated and analytical Development Co-Ordinator to support Business Isle of Man.
Business Isle of Man is an Executive Agency within the Department for Enterprise, it is a public/private partnership acting as a key decision maker and advisory body to help drive economic growth within those sectors under its responsibility.
Business Isle of Man is responsible for facilitating the support, development and promotion of key sectors of the economy. With large numbers of employers, employees and diverse clusters of businesses, Business Isle of Man has a significant responsibility for ensuring the promotion and development of opportunities within these sectors
The majority of the role will be project based and initially will be supporting the agency in delivering a number of large scale national projects. You will need to be a team player and have a keen interest in the economic and social development of the Isle of Man and a desire to apply your skills to directly develop the island through the Business Agency work.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Administration and secretarial support for the agency board, board meetings and workshop events
- Project support in delivering projects that result from Business Isle of Man and providing updates accordingly to the Business Agency Executive Board
- Designing, managing and delivering specific research projects and activities
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders within the process of researching specific policy areas
- Conducting analytical research, quantitative and qualitative data collection and both primary and secondary research
