About the School
Our primary school serves the local school community with around 125 pupils on roll. We are a small, rural school set in the beautiful countryside surrounding the Sulby Glen. We are fortunate to benefit from extensive grounds, which include a wildlife area, a maze, a meadow garden, a large organic garden, traversing wall, amphitheatre and bordered by open fields. Our school motto really means a lot to us - learning should be a great lifelong adventure for everyone and at Sulby we aim to make the journey as exciting as we possibly can!
We offer a range of educational opportunities for pupils from 4 to 11 and strive to prepare pupils for the future by recognising that we are all learners and never stop learning. The school is a warm and caring community with a dedicated, committed and skilful staff that really recognises the development of the whole child. We are a very inclusive school where everyone matters and we celebrate diversity and promote tolerance and understanding. We strive to help pupils achieve their dreams and goals, celebrating individual achievements and success.

- Can secure and sustain outstanding teaching and learning embracing new developments and changes in the educational landscape
- Is collaborative and can work positively with and develop a motivated leadership team
- Is empathetic, yet empowering; someone who works well in collaboration with other schools and with other relevant service providers
- Is resilient, adaptable and able to deal with complexity, challenge and change
- Is outward looking and strong on innovation and able to keep up with cutting edge developments in pedagogy and leadership techniques
