An exciting opportunity to join the Infection Prevention & Control Team has arisen within the Department of Health & Social Care (DHSC) in the Isle of Man. The team provides advice and support to patients and colleagues in Noble’s Hospital, Community Health Services, Mental Health Services and Care Homes.    

We are recruiting a well-organised, motivated and enthusiastic Specialist Nurse in Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) with an IPC qualification at degree level or equivalent experience. The successful applicant will be primarily responsible for day to day case management of patients in hospital and will work closely with patients and colleagues in preventing health care-associated infection. You should be able to work on your own initiative and work within a team structure, organising and prioritising your own workload in a busy environment. We are looking for a dynamic IPC Nurse who has good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels within the DHSC.

You will be required to be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and have at least 2 years experience at a senior level. As a minimum you should have a degree in a healthcare related subject along with evidence of teaching experience. It is highly desirable that you will have an IPC qualification at degree level or equivalent experience.

This role also qualifies for a recruitment incentive of £3,000 which will be payable in the 1st, 13th, and 25th months of employment.
