As a Highway Control Engineer on the Isle of Man, no two days are ever the same! You will be taking the lead on developing quality systems for highway development control to assessing a wide range of travel modes, from pedestrian, cycling, trains, trams and ports and harbours.

When you arrive, you will be able to get your teeth stuck into developing our highway development control policies and procedures as well as carry out pre application  to ensure efficient delivery of advice.

As well as developing our standards and policies you will have the opportunity to develop yourself.  Working in a close-knit team this really does give you the ability to develop and widen your knowledge. Located in the Sea Terminal your daily view will be of the stunning Douglas Harbour and Tower of Refuge.

 There are also opportunities to work on the Islands most exciting and iconic motorbike race, the TT races as well as delving into work with other departments like Department of Environment, Food, Agriculture.

This really is a unique opportunity that will see you working in a close-knit team  giving you the ability to widen your knowledge in this field.
