As part of our Digital and Financial Services strategy, an opportunity has been created for a subject matter expert to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Lending, the Risk Based Pricing Manager will develop our customer pricing strategy to drive long-term, sustainable profit from our Financial Services offering, balancing commercial risk and minimising potential customer detriment.

 

 

What you’ll be responsible for:

 

-Development of customer pricing strategies for UK and Ireland operations in order to;

        Determine initial credit terms for accepted customers on revolving agreements

        Review and amend ongoing credit terms on revolving agreements

-Making significant recommendations aligned to our FS strategy and customer base, to develop and improve credit term pricing policies and processes based on in depth customer behaviour analytics  

-Effective application of customer level risk scoring models within pricing strategy.

-Development of propensity models to support the pricing strategy

-Assessment of group pricing strategies to ensure they are delivering as expected and making appropriate remediation recommendations where applicable

-Determining and ongoing development of JDW pricing strategy (credit terms) for our fixed term credit product

-Working closely with colleagues in the Buying & Merchandising teams to ensure there is a joined up approach to the pricing of our credit products

-Leadership and development of a small team of skilled analysts

 

 

What you’ll need to succeed:

 

We’re looking for an accomplished Financial Services professional, with demonstrable experience in Credit Risk and predictive analytics. Ideally you’ll also bring expertise in credit product pricing. You should be a graduate, or equivalent, ideally in a highly analytical discipline such as Statistics, Computing or Economics. You’ll need to evidence strong technical and decision making ability together with knowledge of the external FS market and regulatory environment. Experience in strategic systems implementations is also highly desirable.

 

You should be an advanced user of MS Excel with some knowledge of SQL and SAS. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential as you’ll need to build effective cross functional relationships with colleagues across the business. You’ll also need to be able to work at pace; managing a busy workload within deadlines whilst maintaining a keen eye for detail as well as a flexible and positive approach.

 

You should be a strong people manager, with a natural coaching approach and the ability to lead and develop a team.
