Reporting to the CTO, the Enterprise Architect will take ownership of our technology strategy, playing a pivotal role in driving forward N Brown technology objectives. A crucial part of this role will be to define and maintain a published Enterprise Architecture roadmap aligned to the business and IT strategy, capabilities and requirements; ensuring all technology decisions meet the key guiding principles.

What you'll be reponsible for::
-Ensuring current and future business capabilities are accounted for in the Enterprise Architecture; including the technology capabilities across infrastructure, application and business functions gaining approval from key stakeholders
-Advocating the IT Strategy to establish the Enterprise Architecture both internally and externally to further promote NBG
-Defining and maintaining an agreed view of the target architecture, roadmap and transition states to support the Business and Technology strategy. Ensuring all technology decisions meet the key guiding principles or an exception is approved otherwise
-Providing High level architecture design, solution and governance of the application architecture while supporting the design authority to architect end-to-end solutions at a high level
-Performing product and vendor selection for architectural components
-Identifying ways to leverage strategic partner relationships while building key influencing relationships and support
-Driving delivery, innovation and supporting ‘enabling’ projects and initiatives
-Ensuring industry best practice and Identifying innovative opportunities in terms of existing and emergent technologies, promoting identified technology opportunities to key stakeholders
What you’ll need to succeed:
We are looking for an ambitious and highly motivated Enterprise Architect with wide ranging experience of technology delivery, application and/or enterprise architecture ideally gained within retail, start-ups or other business areas with exposure to innovative and scaling approaches to architecture. Ideally, you’ll be qualified to degree level or equivalent and TOGAF or other architecture qualifications would be highly desirable.
You’ll be naturally resilient, engaging, and tenacious and results driven with excellent communication and influencing skills. You’ll also need to be a team player with the ability to build effective relationships across complex disciplines. Open to new approaches and ideas, you’ll be able to partner with internal and external resource and suppliers across a blended internal, outsourced and 3rd party offshore estate.
