Integration Solutions Architect

Reporting to the Head of Solution Architecture, the Integration Solution Architect will be responsible for the development of overall solution designs, architecture patterns and cross system designs for N Brown programmes and projects.

  • Experience in defining & delivering Enterprise Integration Architectures including APIs, SOA, Event Driven Architecture
  • Experience in defining Integration architecture for large organisations, & of demonstrating alignment between business objectives & the target integration architecture.
  • Experience in & deep understanding of API & service design.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and quantitative skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
  • Solid work ethic, self-driven with the ability to work with minimal supervision


  • Work in a team of Solution Architects to assist with other related strategies ensuring alignment & understanding impacts across the entire Enterprise.
  • Produce architecture artefacts to support the implementation of strategy, assess and review the conformity of 3rd party deliverables against it.
  • Contribute to architecture and design of applications built with the Oracle Fusion Middleware technologies

Essential Skills required:

  • Experience of design for Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle Service Bus and Oracle Java Message Service
  • Proven expertise in API First, contract-led design covering error-handling and monitoring aspects
  • Excellent understanding of service provisioning and monitoring
  • Good knowledge of integration patterns & associated best practises
  • Knowledge of message based data integration with a focus on XML, XSD and data validation
  • Strong knowledge of Message-Oriented-Middleware and Event-Driven architecture

Desired skills:

  • Experience Oracle Data Integrator
  • Experience of Oracle Enterprise Manager
  • Understanding how cloud can be leveraged to enable scalability and high-availability of service-based architectures
  • Experience with performance application management
  • Knowledge of service provisioning life-cycle, prioritization techniques, change impact assessment and dependency management
  • Knowledge of application development practises, including DevOps
  • Good RDBMS understanding, preferably Oracle RDBMS
