An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Digital Marketing department for an opportunity for two SEO Specialists, one for each of our power brands JD Williams and Simply Be, to join us. These roles will be the driving force in helping the business improve the organic performance of our high-profile websites as we prepare to transition to a new platform.

Reporting to the SEO Manager, our SEO Specialists will be responsible for improving, and optimising, our visibility through organic searches, regularly engaging with content writers to identify and prioritise on-page opportunities for improvement as well as engaging and managing the relationship with our external agency to ensure high quality output.

Additional SEO Specialist responsibilities also include:

  • Manage the outreach activities for a power brands in conjunction with our agency partner
  • Using a variety of tools to identify performance and technical SEO issues and opportunities to conduct SEO Audits such as: Google & Bing Web Master Tools, Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMRush, DeepCrawl, Sistrix, SEO Monitor
  • Regular monitoring and reporting on SEO performance and activities
  • Link profile audits with tools such as Kerboo, Majestic, Ahrefs, Link Research Tools
  • Aiding the preparation and activation of our re-platforming and migration projects
  • Contribute to the functional requirements of the current and new platforms
  • Testing any code releases

 

What you will need to succeed:

  • A minimum of 3 years SEO experience with experience within a similar role
  • Strong knowledge and experience of modern SEO (for example technical, best practice,  keyword mapping, usability etc)
  • Strong knowledge and extensive experience of SEO analysis using a variety of measurement tools
  • Great team player
  • Analytically minded with a strong commercial understanding
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to express complex ideas
  • A passion and on-going interest in current and future SEO/Digital issues, practices and developments is ideal
