As we continue to grow and look to expand overseas, we have an exciting opportunity for a Tax Manager to join the team. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller the role of Tax Manager is varied and a fantastic opportunity for the successful individual to take ownership of this area within N Brown.

We are looking for someone who is highly organised and confident communicating complex issues in simple terms. You will have tax experience in a FTSE250 group or Big 4 firm and hold ACA, ACT ACCA or CTA qualifications. This role is a permanent position working from our head office based in central Manchester and would suit someone who is looking for flexible hours in a part time role.

Key Accountabilities as our Tax Manager

  • Maintaining the relationship with HMRC and the delivery of the tax computations for several companies.
  • Tax budgeting, forecasting as well as annual computations and submission to HMRC
  • Provision of tax disclosure information for IFRS statutory accounts
  • Calculation of group relief
  • Liaison with HMRC and statutory auditors and being the central point of contact for our external tax advisors
  • Co-ordination and execution of iXBRL tagging
  • Assistance in VAT matters and assessing potential risks and opportunities
  • Ensure that Irish tax is correctly governed and submitted

 

What experience are we are looking for in our Tax Manager:

  • Up to date knowledge of relevant corporate tax laws
  • Recent experience of tax accounting for consolidated groups
  • Tax accounting experience under IFRS
  • Experience of undertaking tax computations for large tax accounts
  • Corporate Tax Advisory skills
  • Excellent data management skills to ensure a clear audit trail of all calculations
  • Recent demonstrable experience of working in a Corporate Tax Management
