Come and join our mobile development team! In this role you will support the development of our apps and ensure we deliver solutions which lead the way in online shopping experience.

You will be part of the wider innovation function and therefore you will be the first to hear and test the most innovative tech and support the team in implementation of new functionality to support our business transition into a digital retailer.

You’ll be developing Mobile Apps for our major brands. We’re now looking to grow our App offering to further brands.
You’ll use your technical skills to develop cutting edge solutions to benefit our colleagues and customers. You’ll use your problem-solving skills to support business facing projects to ensure solutions meet business needs.

What the successful Android Developer will need to succeed:

  •   We’re looking for a talented individual with relevant Android app development experience or degree in IT related discipline
  •   You will have solid understanding of the full software development cycle
  •   It’s essential that you have experience of developing high quality, scalable and efficient Android apps
  •   Strong knowledge of the Android Studio IDE/Eclipse
  •   Android SDK and material design principles
  •   Strong Java and exposure to Kotlin in at least one commercial project
  •   Using and integrating web APIs
  •   Knowledge and experience of using Android Data Binding
  •   Maven or Gradle experience
  •   Experience of J2EE, Spring, Hibernate and Tomcat
  •   Continuous Integration and unit testing
  •   You will have experience of Scrum and agile methodology
  •   Good understanding of Git
  •   Experience of working with Web and Cloud technologies is desirable.
  •   You should have a passion for user experience.
  •   You’ll also need excellent written and verbal communication skills as this role will involve regular interaction with teams across the business.
