An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Merchandiser to manage our store portfolio. The Branch Merchandiser will work closely with the Head of Merchandising to ensure ranges achieve planned sales, margin and terminal stock targets by creating a robust pre-season plan and using in season trading activity.

 

What you’ll be responsible for as a Merchandiser:

 

  • Managing stock in a wide portfolio of our own stores as well as partnerships/concessions
  • Working closely with retail management to build strong relationships
  • Lead and coach the branch merchandising team to be a motivated and high performing team, developing and promoting talent
  • Lead the branch merchandisers to propose the framework for each brand to include phasing, department range mixes and option counts in line with store space
  • In conjunction with commercial finance and retail ops, agree seasonal budgets and communicate to stakeholders
  • Manage allocation and replenishment process constantly reviewing to drive out improvement and best practice
  • Lead weekly store trade meetings driving appropriate actions as necessary to ensure delivery of weekly KPI’s
  • Accompany buyers on key supplier visits to discuss performance and future plans (High and Mighty Only)

 

What you will need to succeed as a Merchandiser:

 

  • It is desirable but not essential for the candidate to have worked within a Branch merchandising team.
  • Experience planning and trading your own department, including forecasting, strategy planning and OTB management responsibilities.
  • Advanced Excel skills (Vlookup, Pivot Table, IF), and high level proficiency with other Microsoft Office programs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to react appropriately to in-season trading.
  • Enthusiasm and determination.
  • Management and leadership experience.
