Our Project Managers are responsible for ensuring our projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the customer’s expectations.

Working closely with our colleagues from across the business, you will need to carry out initial discovery to help validate the business case ; from gaining an early view of the requirements to  building an outline plan and costs. Upon approval, you will need to mobilise the teams, engaging third party suppliers, strategic partners and internal development resource to deliver a solution that’s capable of meeting the business needs. You will need to keep a close handle on plans, costs, risks,  issues and changes throughout the lifecycle using the tools and techniques at hand for the chosen methodology. Our environment is fast paced so you will need to be comfortable managing delivery through changing priorities whilst keeping control and managing stakeholders’ expectations.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Taking ownership over all aspects of a project from the design stage through to completion and handover in to service, writing and logging all project documentation
  • Keeping all relevant stakeholders aware of the progress of projects and any major obstacles
  • Agreeing project objectives and scope and communicating with stakeholders to clarify the desired outcome of projects
  • Managing project personnel to achieve desired objectives and ensuring that all relevant processes are followed
  • Regularly reviewing and analysing the project scope, ensuring potential risks and issues are resolved
  • Driving cross-functional project teams and negotiating with suppliers and sub-contractors where applicable
  • Ensuring that the highest quality standards are met at every opportunity

 

What you’ll need to succeed:

We’re looking for a technically competent, results driven and resilient Project Manager, qualified to degree level or equivalent, with comprehensive experience of driving and managing large and small scale projects in an IT team, ideally within an ecommerce business. You should also hold a PRINCE2 or Scrum certification (or equivalent) and have extensive knowledge and awareness of Project Management principles, documents and plans along with strong facilitation and analytical skills.

You must be able to evidence the ability to deliver results on time, on budget, and to the very highest standards as well as the commercial awareness to quickly evaluate the technical, behavioural and contextual elements of a project. Strong stakeholder management and project reporting skills are essential.

You should be able to build strong relationships with people at all levels and display tenacity to achieve objectives. You’ll need to be a strong influencer and comfortable working in collaboration with others. Our environment is fast paced and rapidly changing, therefore you’ll need to be confident to deliver to tight deadlines.

You should be highly organised and a confident user of Microsoft Project and Excel.
