N Brown are searching for an experienced Assistant Merchandiser to work within our busy and exciting Jewellery and Beauty section.

Based in the heart of Manchester city centre’s vibrant Northern Quarter, we are looking for someone who has some experience of working as an Assistant Merchandiser however this role is the perfect development opportunity for someone to work within a highly experienced and supportive team!

What you’ll be responsible for as an Assistant Merchandiser:

  • Producing and collating Monday trade reports for the Merchandiser.
  • Identifying weekly sales trends, along with best and worst sellers.
  • Highlighting recommendations for markdowns and promotions, along with ensuring availability is maximised across all channels in response to trading activity.
  • Taking ownership of intake and commitment schedule to maximise stock availability.
  • Ensuring critical path deadlines are met. Recognising any potential delivery issues and impact to deliver/availability and making this known to the Merchandiser.
  • Liaising with suppliers and maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Supporting the Merchandiser with additional sales reporting and analysis.

What you will need to succeed as an Assistant Merchandiser:

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills and confidence working with large volumes of data.
  • A genuine interest in retail and trading.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel (proficiency in Vlookups, SUM, Pivot tables).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm and determination.
  • Experience working in a head office merchandising role (Merch Admin Assistant, Allocator etc.) would be advantageous but is not essential.
