A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Digital Style Developer to work within our brand new Digital Fit Innovation Team to translate designs using 2D digital pattern development and 3D digital software to create products that meet our customer expectations on Fit, Quality and Value.

Key responsibilities will include:

  1. Work in line with the Digital strategy as defined by the Head of Digital Fit & Innovation.
  2. Translate design into a creative 2D pattern, ensuring accuracy and consistency of fit in all sizes aligned to the internal block library by brand to ensure they flatter our customer.
  3. Ensure style pattern is accurately graded in 2D system and update size specification.
  4. Work effectively in 3D environment to develop style in partnership with Buying & Design through to concept and technical approval ensuring it is developed on time and from the right supplier for the product type.
  5. Create tech pack with all supporting documentation and digitally share with Supplier and Development and Innovation team.
  6. Effectively engineer patterns to support net margin improvements.
  7. Provide Digital & creative expertise to support the wider product team including Design, Buying, Development & Innovation Team, Merchandising, Marketing, Supply Base and Apprentices/placements.
  8. Constantly review and improve Digital Software libraries in line with new developments/dept strategy i.e. Fabric, trims etc.
  9. Communication – engage with the wider business team both internal and external to drive the Digital strategy.
  10. In conjunction with Block Innovator, evaluate performance of product through customer feedback and returns metrics to ensure block library is maintained.
  11. Evaluate Supplier for skill abilities, lead times and quality of product achieved acting on issues and recommending improvements
  12. Monitor and maintain all product information on Critical Path and data files.
  13. Growth in Profitability – reduce returns rates due to improved Fit and Quality, Value and Customer perception with less quality issues at source.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Digital Pattern cutting
  • Grading skills
  • Competent in using 2D/3D digital software
  • Creative flair with a good appreciation of fashion/current trends/quality standards on product fit/styling/construction and innovation to product
  • Fitting skills specific to relevant product.
  • Communication skills – verbal and written – ability to communicate via variety of media with different cultures/various levels of Stakeholders with professionalism, tact, diplomacy and integrity.
  • Technical Expertise in relevant products including but not exhausting, experience in testing legislation, chemical management and fabric knowledge.
  • Relevant Product construction knowledge
  • Knowledge of a wide ranging Supply base.
  • Knowledge of product testing, legislation and compliance relating to relevant product types.
