Working in the heart of our Customer Data & Analytics team here at N Brown, we are recruiting for a Data Analyst to join us on a 12-month fixed term contract.

Reporting to Jody, our Data Transformation Manager you will focus on tactical data transformation as well as providing strategy with the appropriate business partners. This will be achieved through requirements gathering, prioritisation of projects and providing consultancy on what the art of the possible is, through expert and hands-on knowledge of our data, KPIs, reports and systems.

You will use your commercial application of data and analytics to help drive profit and business change by establishing our data foundations.  If you are up for the challenge, then we want to hear from you!

What will you be doing as a Data Transformation Specialist?

  • Support in data democratisation for enterprise wide data
  • Collaboration with technical and business quality analysts to identify the root of data issues
  • Manage complex external account relationships of current digital toolset
  • Guidance on which analytical tool is best placed to handle analytical requirements / data
  • Data reconciliation i.e. an appreciation of whether data / trends are correct
  • Responsible for robust delivery and ownership of data issue resolution
  • Enterprise wide project management - including managing project briefs, the analysis and subsequent solution implementation process
  • Review, improve and implement reporting solutions
  • Scrutiny of market and evolving range of data sources and tools, extract knowledge and insight to help the business meet its goals and improve its performance
  • Tactical analysis and some reporting and, time permitting, Analytical projects
  • Implementing step change improvement to data governance and information management

What skills do you need?

  • Expert knowledge of advanced customer analytics using tools such as SAS / SQL / SPSS and an appreciation of open source tools (Python, R etc) and open source data
  • Strong operational delivery track record, motivated to implement/deliver on time to quality standards and, critically, build new efficient processes at pace
  • Experience in data analysis, reporting, data warehousing, physical and logical data modelling, statistical analysis tools, data governance and master data management
  • Strong technical, usability awareness of online/e-commerce industries
