N Brown are now recruiting for a PA to support our Director of Supply Chain, Phil Barnes. Phil is looking for an experienced Personal Assistant who can demonstrate the ability to understand priorities, work flexibly and collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels of the business, with professionalism and charisma.

Your role as Personal Assistant will include responsibility over all administrative duties and from time to time other Directors and Senior Managers. Here at N Brown, our business is fast paced and constantly changing, therefore we are looking for someone who can make things happen at short notice, who can also demonstrate high levels of integrity and discretion.

Please note: You will be working between our head office based in the northern quarter, Manchester as well as our logistics site based in Shaw

What will you be doing as a Personal Assistant at N Brown?

  • Maintain complex schedules, meeting invites and agendas as well as following up on any meeting actions.
  • Diary management for Director and Senior Managers: - Internal and external contacts, room bookings, refreshments, IT equipment, room set up, producing/printing/pdf of documents.
  • Compilation of confidential divisional and board reports ensuring timely pre-circulation of papers
  • Completing key department projects by undertaking or assigning work and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Attending meetings requested by the Director – Produce agendas, arrange refreshments (if required), minute taking, distribution of minutes.
  • Visitor management: - Logistically; arrival and departure, co-ordination of diaries with external PA’s and management.
  • Holiday planning, ensure all holidays are in the Director’s and Senior Managers diaries
  • Working closely with the other PA’s, diary management, presentations, forthcoming events
  • Socialising events for Director / Senior Manager’s
  • Manage all travel both UK and overseas; Flights, rail, accommodation, dining out, required information
  • Arrange Director & Senior Management away days
  • Support the delivery of All Employee Conference for the logistics site 1000+ colleagues
  • Submission of personal expenses for Directors and Senior Management via Concur
  • Championing Our Hub for the Logistics Division
  • Occasional miscellaneous personal tasks and errands – e.g. personal rail travel


Skills and experience this role requires:

  • Previous PA experience is essential
  • Previous experience of managing complex diaries including overseas
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the priorities with the minimum of guidance and be proactive to ensure the efficient running of the office.
  • The ability to make things happen at short notice
  • A genuine interest and understanding of the requirements of our director
  • Confidence when dealing with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels of the business, with professionalism and charisma
  • High levels of integrity and discretion
  • Good problem-solving skills and able to work out flexible solutions.
  • Ability to work alone or in collaboration with other PA’s and colleagues
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office computer packages
