We have a brand new opportunity for an experienced and passionate Menswear Designer to join a collaborative, creative and innovative team in our Head Office based in Manchester. Reporting into, and taking guidance from, the Senior Designer, this role will work with  the male focused N Brown Group brands to design new and innovative products, re-vamp existing pieces and provide inspirational and forward thinking recommendations  to ensure we remain relevant to our vast customer base. This role will be active in the market to identify key trend pieces, business partner effectively throughout the Group and continually strive to remain ahead of our competitors.

As our Menswear Multi Product Designer you work in the UK and overseas with suppliers to source and present key and upcoming colours and styles, shape direction for the business in trend books and presentations and support the product selection process to deliver exciting and commercial product ranges; this role will strive to continually look to understand and meet our customers’ needs.

Additional key responsibilities:

  • Modernise the design of product ranges to overtake key competitors, drive improved net sales performance and gains in market share
  • Keep up to date with market intelligence
  • Collaborate effectively to create new and exciting ranges that innovate in terms of product opportunity and the identification of new and developing trends
  • Brief and liaise with suppliers on new development and designs
  • Showcase previous industry experience with an aim to continually develop and understand the N Brown Group brands
  • Work closely with QA regarding updating fit and pushing innovation in fabric and silhouette
  • Ensure harmonisation of trends across all products within relevant areas

What you will need to succeed as a Menswear Multi Product Designer:

  • Well established experience within a previous role working to a specific customer base
  • Demonstrable experience of identifying and understanding trends relevant for specific customer
  • Broad experience within creative, commercial environment and having experience of influencing key stake holders
  • Degree educated within related field is desirable but not essential.
  • A creative, passionate and highly organised attitude
  • Experience or knowledge of CAD, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Motivational leader with the ability to coach a creative mind-set with the team
  • Flexible, with a can do approach and possess the ability to motivate, engage and influence complex stakeholder groups
