We’re continuing to build a motivated, thought leading, top drawer Procurement team.  We are recruiting for a Senior Category Manager on a 6-12-month FTC. You’ll support the development of a culture where everyone is cost conscious, smart spenders, looking for ways to save every day and challenge where they see waste.  You’ll engage colleagues and stakeholders to think and work cross functionally to drive organisational efficiency. Suppliers will want to partner with us to share innovation and ideas to improve how we work and give us an edge on our competition.

What will I be responsible for as Senior Category Manager:

  • Develop and continually review robust, forward looking category plans based on business need, supply market dynamics and technological advancements
  • Work with stakeholders to consider a variety of commercial models, providing constructive challenge to drive the most appropriate business outcome.
  • Monitor categories, sharing insights with the business and drive reviews and actions where opportunities and risks appear.
  • Work with the Commercial Management team to determine the most appropriate metrics for supplier performance and relationship management.
  • Create and lead the creation of a pipeline of initiatives to achieve or exceed savings targets
  • Lead discussions and negotiations with suppliers and partners to realise cost efficiency opportunities and negotiate commercial terms and contracts.
  • Work with Commercial Finance to ensure that tangible benefits can be tracked into the P&L and participate in reviews that monitor the deliverables providing interventions where necessary.
  • Manage on demand procurement partners, giving clear direction and ensuring agreed measures and outputs are delivered.
