As a leading digital fashion retailer, we are implementing SMCR across our business and we have a fantastic opportunity for Programme Manager to join us for 18 Months to lead the end-to-end implementation of the Senior Manager & Certification Regime. As an experienced Programme Manager; you will be responsible for solution development and end-to-end deployment of the SMCR regulation on a large-scale change programme in a regulatory environment. This role will involve end-to-end project management, working from shaping and initiation through to solution design, implementation and deployment.

You will be responsible, on behalf of the Executive Sponsor for delivering change within our business.  As a programme manager you will be responsible for the overall integrity and coherence of the programme. You will develop and maintain the programme environment to support each individual project within it - often through an effective programme management office.

This role requires effective co-ordination of the programme’s projects and management of their inter-dependencies including oversight of any risks and issues arising. It also includes the co-ordination of the new capability for the business to enable effective change and realisation of projected benefits.

The successful candidate will have experience in large scale programme management in complex, regulated financial services environments. They will also have excellent stakeholder engagement and management experience with heads of business, and structured project management skills focused on business change not IT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and designing the programme and proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action
  • Defining the programme's governance arrangements
  • Ensuring effective quality assurance and the overall integrity of the programme - focusing inwardly on the internal consistency of the programme, and outwardly on its coherence with infrastructure planning, interfaces with other programmes and corporate, technical and specialist standards
  • Managing the programme's budget on behalf of the Executive Sponsor, monitoring expenditure and costs against delivered and realised benefits as the programme progresses
  • Ensuring there is allocation of common resources and skills within the programme's individual projects
  • Managing third party contributions to the programme
  • Managing communications with all stakeholders
  • Managing risks to the programme's successful outcome
  • Working with the business change teams or equivalent on the transition to the new business as usual position
  • Reporting the progress of the programme at regular intervals to the Executive Sponsor and Steering Committee.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programmes
  • Sound business case development and approvals skills
  • Good knowledge of programme and project management methods including MSP and PRINCE2
  • Demonstrable solution development and end-to-end deployment in a large-scale project management experience in complex, regulated financial services environments.
