Within the role you’ll implement a robust Quality Management System and SOPs to make sure we have consistent and compliant working across the team.

As a Quality and Compliance Lead, you will work closely with your internal stakeholders and the wider business to map out the variety of processes and you’ll deliver training with the team. You’ll also work to cascade any learnings to the necessary stakeholders within the wider organisation.

Within the role you’ll work closely with the Imports Administration Manager to make sure all legislative, policy and operational processes are thoroughly understood and documented.

What you’ll do:  


  • To deliver a Quality Management System(QMS) and soft skills training to enhance the skills of the Imports Administration Team
  • To provide feedback and coaching to enhance individual performance
  • To take accountability for planning and preparation for each Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs) and maintain and develop SOPs when a change is made
  • To be responsible for ongoing training with new and established team members
  • Contribute to HMRC audits when periodic or otherwise reviews are held


Material Design & Delivery Co-ordination:

  • To drive a culture of continuous improvement within the Imports Team and encourage contributions to the training material from team and role stakeholders
  • To update Training material to reflect SOPs, ensuring that statutory training requirements are met, and all documentation is version controlled.


Training Evaluation/Management Information:

  • To update the Imports Administration Manager by providing regular status updates and progress reports
  • To establish relationships with other business leads and report on progress when cascading training material


What you’ll need to succeed as a Quality and Compliance Lead:

  • Strong evidence of effective communication, negotiation and influencing skills 
  • Evidence of creating and delivering high quality design material
  • Ability to review and identify training material that doesn’t meet required standard
  • Organisational skills – evidence of planning of own work and co-ordination of design work of colleagues
  • Evidence of effective collaboration to complete projects/tasks under tight deadlines
  • Personally, credible in order to build team confidence and capture training requirements succinctly
  • Understanding of training procedures and protocols (quality assurance)
  • Able and willing to work flexible hours including and travel when required as well as a willingness to embrace change, be flexible and adopt new methods of working
