As our Learning and Development Partner you will be hands on, passionate and energised by unlocking people’s potential and helping them to bring their best selves to work every day! Being creative will enable you to design and deliver a compelling and innovative L&D strategy that drives a high-performance culture. This strategy must embed a culture of always learning throughout the full life cycle of learning, from leadership development, apprenticeship, intern and graduate to online digital training, talent management, succession planning, and everything in between.

You will be responsible for the delivery of compelling learning experiences across the entire business. This is achieved through proactive partnering with business leaders, People partners and key stakeholders to understand their unique commercial learning requirements that drive profitable growth and empower colleagues to thrive. Your learning interventions must therefore be commercially sound, flexible and provide a transparent and tangible ROI.

 

Your role as Learning and Development Partner:

  • Design and delivery of flexible learning and development strategies and initiatives
  • Lead a team of learning professionals who will create, curate and develop best in class experiences
  • Take a leading role in the delivery and content of Senior colleague development
  • Support, design and implement career pathways, in line with 9 box talent mapping
  • Create career runways for Apprenticeships, Interns and Graduates, maximising the Apprenticeship Levy contribution and other funding opportunities
  • Review learning experience to ensure that content is impactful, relevant and of the highest standard
  • Deliver Talent management initiatives and frameworks that support the business plan to identify, develop and retain key talent
  • Drive a culture of high performance throughout the business whereby colleagues and leaders take personal ownership to embed our Inspiring Performance approach
  • Partner with business leaders, People partners and key stakeholder to consultant on training and development solutions that drive and support business objectives
  • Lead the design and delivery of core modules, competencies and development runways for colleagues to thrive and the business to grow
  • Be accountable for a digital learning ecosystem that is available on all sites and locations that provide colleagues with learning experiences that are just right, just in time and just for you!

 

What are we looking for in our Learning and Development Partner?

  • A reputation in the L&D community as a leader in delivering innovation and change
  • Previous experience as an L&D Manager/Head of Learning and Development, preferably within the retail sector or a rapidly changing business
  • Have strong experience of selecting and building relations with suppliers and measuring ROI on all learning interventions
  • Inspiring, strong and decisive leadership style
  • Delivery of mentoring and coaching initiatives at all levels
  • Enabling a performance through best in practice approaches to performance management
  • Translating long term strategy into tangible actions
  • Resilience in leading and supporting a team to deliver best in class solutions, in a rapidly changing business
