This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Online Merchandising Executive to join a fast paced and friendly ecommerce team.  Your role as Online Merchandising executive will be to support the delivery of the onsite strategy by maximising and maintaining the product exposure to drive on-line category sales and customer / visitor conversion targets. You will optimise the content delivery, taxonomy, classification and visual merchandising of all products on the website; getting maximum product engagement, conversion and sales per order.

What you’ll be responsible for as Online Merchandising Executive:

  • Managing product content on the website and app.
  • Manage and develop website hierarchy and navigation. Look for new opportunities to develop categories across devices and platforms utilising analysis from Google Analytics, Google Keyword Tool, Google Trends, liaising with buying on future product ranges etc
  • Ensuring all products are strategically merchandised across the site using sequencing and checking product titles, description, attributes, imagery etc
  • Up-sell and cross-sell lines using available resources / tools
  • Assist with onsite and product promotions as directed by the Ecomm Marketing team. Position promotions and special offers in obvious places so they are seen by as many relevant customers as possible and at a point in the user journey when customers are most likely to engage with them
  • Use online analytics to study customers’ patterns and behaviours from homepage to checkout, understanding trends and behavioural funnels to optimise the journey and next steps.
  • Analyse onsite search behaviour to help assist in planning and ensuring products and content presented is relevant and optimised
  • Monitor onsite seasonal trends – how customers’ online behaviour differs throughout the year merchandise the site accordingly.
  • Contribute to trading the season to maximise demand and profit against plan using the product bank and traffic to optimum advantage.
  • Any other duties required by the line manager that are appropriate with the post, grade and level of responsibility of this role, for which the role holder has the necessary experience and/or training.

We are looking for a commercially minded marketeer, who is adaptable to change with a strong interest in the customer journey and user experience. As a fast-paced online retailer we look for someone with project management experience, who has experience in the use of digital / ecommerce tools e.g. Multi variant testing tools, google analytics, coremetrics or similar digital solutions.
