We will be inviting enthusiastic, hardworking and dynamic individuals to come along to learn more about our entry level Buying roles and opportunities and to allow you to show us what you are made of and why you are right for a career in Buying. Don’t worry it is fun and no Red Buzzers!
As an Assistant Buyer you’ll work closely with our Buyers to provide a variety of support across the team. You should be comfortable with administration, be highly organised and once trained will be able to analyse and interpret sales data that helps our Buyers decision making! A genuine passion for product whether it be for our fashion or homeware ranges, along with a passion to understand our different customer demographics, will allow you to truly excel and develop a career in our Buying Team.
Ideally, you’ll have studied a relevant degree or equivalent or be able to demonstrate a passion for working with product through your work experience However the right attitude and a good knowledge of competitor retailers and overall insight into the retail market is essential.
What makes a great Assistant Buyer? A natural flair for numbers and analytics as a key part of this role involves administration, analysis and interpretation of sales data. Excellent communication skills to collate and present findings and recommendations as well as building effective relationships with colleagues and external suppliers. The role of an Assistant Buyer is fast-paced requiring; flexibility, positivity, enthusiasm, determination, initiative and the desire to succeed.
