We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic placement student to join our Partnership team for a 12-month period from July 2020.

 

You will be given a role with responsibilities that will add to the success of the business and you will become an integral part of the team whilst building your work experience in a commercial fashion head office environment. You’ll also develop crucial industry relationships along the way which may help your employment prospects after you’ve graduated from university!

 

Partnership Placement – 12 months

 

Partnerships is the wholesale division of N Brown and represents one of our biggest growth areas – allowing us the opportunity to sell our fantastic products to new customers via established retailers’ platforms. We are already trading with some of Europe’s largest online retailers, such as ASOS, Zalando and Amazon, and we have plans to grow this area of the business quickly and profitably.

The placement will be split into 3 sections:

  • 8 Months working on the Buying/Selling team
  • 2 Months working as Account manager
  • 2 Months working on the Operations team

 

What you’ll be responsible for:

 

  • Supporting the Buying/Selling teams with administrative requirements.
  • Attending Partner meetings either in the N Brown office or the Partners head office.
  • Working with internal Buying and Merchandising teams to gain product information.
  • Setting up for selection meetings.
  • Sample management.
  • Critical path management.
  • Entering product details on to our systems as well as partner systems.
  • Tracking stock into business.
  • Analysing sales reports.
  • Tracking stock into our partners.

What you will need to succeed:

 

We’re looking for current students on a fashion or buying related degree (or equivalent) course who are able to commit to placement of 12 months starting July 2020 (date TBC). You’ll need to display a keen commercial eye for product along with good knowledge of the latest fashion trends.

 

A genuine passion and drive for a career in fashion is essential as well as the ability to demonstrate a sound understanding of the purpose and value of a Buying function within a business.

 

Attention to detail and excellent organisation skills are paramount as it’s crucial that work is completed accurately, sometimes to tight deadlines. You should be PC literate with the ability to quickly adapt and learn new systems. You’ll be a confident communicator with an energetic approach and exceptional levels of personal motivation.
