Your role as PPC Manager:

  • Develop our paid search capability with focus on data driven optimisation, shopping profitability, effective tracking and insightful reporting.
  • Plan paid search activity including strategy, budgets, targets and optimisation in order to reach business objectives in conjunction with the Head of Paid Search and Affiliates.
  • Manage implementation of activity, ensuring you, your team and agencies/partners deliver excellent results.
  • Evaluate success of campaigns against clear targets; analyse results and identify opportunities; feedback performance and actions taken to the Head of Paid Search and Affiliates and the Trading teams.
  • Create best practice methodologies to help us deliver a digital centre of excellence in the business.
  • Help create integrated digital campaigns by working with digital colleagues and other teams to find innovative ways to reach & communicate with our customers across channels & environments.
  • Thought leadership- be the eyes and ears of the business for paid search & the wider digital industry; keep up to date with developments in digital, spotting opportunities & assessing impact on our brands; keep colleagues up to date with developments.
  • Line manage PPC Executives, providing structured and ad hoc training/mentoring as required.
  • Help manage external agencies & third parties: ensure high quality of work to deadline and budget; develop and maintain positive and strong business relationship.

What experience are we looking for?

  • Extensive and demonstrable experience in planning & implementing PPC campaigns.
  • Understands the ever-changing PPC landscape and able to come up with ambitious and innovative plans & creative strategies.
  • Fully conversant with the technical needs of the role including Search Ads 360, Google Merchant Centre, Google Analytics etc.
  • Results orientated & commercially focussed; comfortable crunching numbers to identify opportunities and focus on ROI; highly competent in excel and working with data; keen eye for detail; a full understanding of financial implications of campaigns.
  • Diligent: will treat campaign budgets as if it is their own money.
  • Can use experience to predict future outcomes and can use this for effective planning and optimisation decisions.
  • Loves the buzz of digital marketing and will be stimulated by constant change and development.
