We’re looking for a Trade Analytics Business Partner to join us. This pivotal role will drive a business partner relationship with each of our impressive brands through gathering and provision of agile analytics as well as providing consultancy on what the art of the possible is with Insight.  A as a crucial team member, this role will enable our Marketing teams to drive the strategy for the brands, improve customer experience, relevancy and ultimately trading performance.

As our Trade Analytical Business Partner, you will lead a small team to extract value from our digital tools and customer data, enabling our digital first vision. 

Additional responsibilities:

  • Manage Business Partner relationships across the business
  • Work across Marketing at Senior Level to champion, influence and exploit the agenda for Customer Analytics
  • Contribute to the research for assessment, introduction and rollout of tools and technology platforms for analytics, automation, insights and visualization
  • Empower and partner with key decision makers to ensure timely, comprehensive and insightful information that has business impact
  • Act as a Senior Business Partner to capture requirements and provide consultancy to the Senior Marketing team.  Provide challenge where appropriate
  • Conduct research and development on the latest tools & techniques; whilst improving on current methods and introducing new ways of sourcing data
  • Conduct research and adopt best practices in establishing business analytics platforms, systems and approaches
  • Lead and develop a small team by ensuring clear development and performance objectives are documented and managed by regular one to one’s and ensure all team members have a development plan and support their development, including championing any training requirements.
  • Talent pipeline and career development opportunities – including identification of external talent to compliment internal experience and knowledge
  • Cascade all company communications in a timely manner via appropriate team meetings and channels.


Experience require:

  • Any industry background is considered (retail is preferred) with demonstrable and exceptional skills in marketing analytics, digital analytics, team management and most importantly be able to drive change in a large organisation
  • Experience of advanced customer analytics using tools such as SQL; an appreciation of open source tools (Python, R etc) and open source data would be useful
  • Strong operational delivery track record, motivated to implement/deliver on time to quality standards and, critically, build new efficient processes at pace
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly appraise complex situations, identify key issues and make tough, timely decisions
  • Experience managing a small team
  • Comprehensive knowledge, training and experience in data analysis, reporting, data warehousing, physical and logical data modelling, statistical analysis tools, data governance and master data management
  • Work closely to support and formulate analytical solutions with our brands using customer and digital data points
  • Strong technical, usability awareness of online/e-commerce industries
  • Influencing skills are key. Ability to engage Senior Managers as key stakeholders
  • Excellent communicator and builder of interpersonal relationships, ability to influence others at all levels of the organisation
  • Strong interpersonal skills are critical. Ability to/proven experience in building strong relationships with Marketing and other business functions
  • Commercially aware and capable of interpreting business needs and requirements in a compelling and understandable way to the Data and Analytics teams and the wider business stakeholders
  • Experience of working with complex customer journeys involving several touch points
  • Strong knowledge of multi-channel and multi-device engagement across digital channels
  • Ability to scale large data sets and extract relevant insights in a timely manner
