Here at N Brown Group we are looking for an Assistant Payroll Manager on a 12 Month fixed term contract.
In this role you will be dealing with all payroll activities for the N Brown Group and will assist the Head of Payroll in leading the team. Our business has undergone a significant period of change, a new HR & Payroll System has recently been implemented, and the Payroll Team will soon be bringing the payroll in house for our Irish brand Oxendales.
Responsibilities for the Assistant Payroll Manager are to:
- Focus on processes and elimination of manual activities where possible
- Lead on the preparation of UK and Ireland Monthly Payroll(s)
- Line Management of 2 Payroll Administrators, ensuring tasks are assigned and undertaken on a Daily Basis, and Monthly Reviews are held to assist with their continued development
- Ensuring Payroll and Expense Queries are replied to within defined SLA’s
- Working closely with People Shared Service Team to ensure all employee data is kept up to date
- Preparation of Annual P11d(b) and PSA
- Monthly National Minimum Wage Reviews
What are we looking for?
You will be CIPP qualified (Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals) or currently working towards completion of CIPP and have proven experience of end to end payroll processing. You should be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the necessity for accurate payroll reporting for the group, HMRC and other tax authorities. Previous management experience is essential, and you should have experience of performing regular one to ones and performance reviews.
