The Role and responsibilities

We are looking for someone to join our Colleague Experience and Communications team as an Internal Communications Assistant within our People department and they will be at the very heart of the team! You will be based at our headquarters in the Northern Quarter, Manchester. This person will:

  • Learn how to create exciting, engaging digital N Brown content in line with our branding that will be used on various platforms internally and externally.
  • With the guidance of their manager, maintain the internal events calendar so the team can keep track of events.
  • Complete monthly reports to examine how communication projects, campaigns and announcements performed. 
  • Learn how to manage and post updates, events and job opportunities from our social media accounts, including LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram.
  • Support the team with looking after our internal communications system that is accessed by all of our employees.

What are we looking for?

Do you have an interest in Human Resources and are curious to learn more about Internal Communications? Do you like to think of yourself as open-minded and willing to learn new things? If so, then this could be the role for you. 

  • We’d love someone with a “can-do”, positive attitude that likes to work in a team and build relationships with others.
  • You should feel comfortable working under pressure at times and meet tight deadlines with the support of the team.
  • We're looking for someone who is curious, organised and not afraid to ask questions!
  • Basic computer skills and some knowledge of Microsoft will be needed.
  • Copywriting skills is desirable but not essential.
